COURSE DESCRIPTION The rise of e-commerce has created an opportunity for some savvy companies to leapfrog their competition by harnessing the supply chain efficiencies of the Internet. Supply Chains and E-Business explores the opportunities available to brick-and-mortar businesses and e-tailers alike when they properly exploit the Internet as a supply chain management tool.
This course was developed in collaboration with The John Olin School of Business at Washington University and Professor of Operations and Manufacturing Management, Panos Kouevelis, an authority and extensively published author on supply chain management.
GOALS
After completing this course you will be able to:
- Understand how to use scorecards to measure and evaluate how well a supply
chain supports business models and strategies.
- Understand the importance of a consumer-focused supply chain strategy for the new economy.
- Understand how B2B hubs and B2B exchanges serve as important tools for
